My teaching career began with three years in low income public schools in Mississippi. My students had above a 90% pass rate on the SATPII state test. I've spent the last four years teaching students with dyslexia in Austin, Texas.
In my math classes, students learn to use prior knowledge, intuition, and problem solving to approach unknowns. They can now use deductive reasoning as fluidly as Google Docs.
Experience in WordPress and HTML sites including blogs, portfolios, content creation, and SEO. I've worked with clients across multiple fields, both building sites from scratch and adapting or migrating from current content.
Apart from high-level editors and design within WordPress, Squarespace and other services, I frequently utilize HTML, PHP, and CSS to meet the specific needs of any given business or project.
I've used many languages to bring exciting, useful, and original ideas to life. Data tracking software for battery systems, scripts to simulate the Thanos' snap, and web apps to have students self-report progress easily have all allowed me to develop my puzzle-oriented brain across many different domains.
I'm also currently in the top 1% worldwide on the Android Stackexchange site for my help with Android devices.

While pursuing a degree in Computer Science I decided to broaden my expertise and graduate with a major in Mathematics and a CS minor.
My internship at Metters Inc. in Orlando, FL provides me with hands on experience and my first steps in software engineering. I created iOS and Android apps in XML, user interfaces for HID controllers and CAN BUS protocols for simulator components.
I began my training with the Mississippi Teacher Corps at the University of Mississippi. My first teaching job was in Marks, MS at M.S. Palmer High School where my students helped raise the Algebra I pass rate from 55% to 77% schoolwide.
After my teaching career began in Marks, Mississippi, I continued with the wonderful parents, students, and teachers at Rawson Saunders in Austin, Texas. I have moved from Algebra I, II, and Geometry to small classes covering topics from 4th to 12th grade math, as well as Computer Science. Wherever they are, my students learn to appreciate logical reasoning and apply creative thinking to their math and everyday problems.
In December, my wife Mallory gave birth to our first child, Emerson. He has already brought many sleepless nights, and incalculably more joy.
I began working as a full-time software engineer with Lithion in 2022. I've since worked on many exciting projects with loads of excellent people, and can't wait to continue growing my skills and learning new technologies as the landscape endlessly shifts.
I currently live in Austin with my wife, Mallory, our son, Emerson, our two Welsh Corgis, Maybie and Midge, and our cat David. I teach, write, code, camp, and explore as much as possible, and most often with family and our lifelong friends.
